About Human Element

Apart being passionate to build team and individual capabilities, I am also a passionate photographer and recently I had took two pictures in Dublin, which you can see below. It was all about adding human element into the picture, cause in the photography – human element makes all the difference.

It brings the sense of the scale, motion, reality and helps viewer’s eye to focus on something what they know. They can better estimate the size of the objects on your pictures, they can relate it to something they know.

I am talking photography, ok?

But wait a moment – isn’t all that true everywhere in business too?

I am strong believer it is.

It is the “human element”, which can make the difference, whether a job is done properly, finished on time, delivered. It is human element which brings the scale, can get your attention, can make it or break it.

That’s why we are always looking for the best human element to fit into our team, into our project, into our company. We even built whole the structure around it, to have human elements available. No, it is not stock model database as in photography, but it is called Human resources – to find the perfect human at the certain moment of time.

And you know it well from your experience and your teams. Is it just a dry, template based “presentation for the drawer”, where human element cannot be found? Or is it a bold statement, with the human sticking behind it, where your attention is drawn and you are sure – yup, that human is making a difference!

So next time you think that this can be done simply and painlessly…

this we can just circulate via new learning platform – “they’ll get it, for sure!”,
or you think to skip the trip/meeting and instead to send it via email
… think twice! Take an effort, wait for the moment if necessary (as I have waited in Dublin for my pedestrians walking into a frame) and ADD HUMAN ELEMENT! Hire the right person – or do not let your best human elements get out of your picture. This will make all the difference. See for yourself at the pictures again…

And then let me know. I would be curious to know what you think!
