You prepare your workshop, set up an agenda and plan how to utilize LEGO® Serious Play® with the team. And then – travel ban will ground one of your participant at home in Sydney and flu will keep another team member at home in Switzerland. So in the morning of the workshop I have realized, two participants will join virtually only.
To be totally honest, my initial thoughts were “there is no way we can run such an interactive workshop via Skype only”. But then, when life gives you lemons, make lemonade. And that’s what we did!

Working with LEGO® is very interactive and people are discussing over their creations, to communicate better and find new solutions. So that’s exactly what we did. Team was working according the brief, how to become even better ONE TEAM – and virtual members were building their part at home. They were sharing their outputs into a camera and in-house participants were sharing their work in front of the camera.
At the end of the day, it is really more about the communication, then about seeing precise details made with bricks. And so it totally worked!
Huge kudos to the team as everybody in the meeting room and off-site was really committed, patient and passionate about the topic. And that inevitably lead to a great output of the workshop – ONE TEAM!
And I can “check” off the list running my first ever virtual LEGO® Serious Play® workshop. What an experience…
